Sparkling Rosé 2016 Release 30, Apr 2020

Woodchurch Sparkling Rosé 2016 is now available

We are excited to announce the launch of our latest sparkling Rosé vintage from 2016.

This is the first wine to be released from the 2016 vintage. It was a growing season that started early in Kent but temperatures remained relatively cool during the summer months allowing a gradual build-up of flavours in the grapes. From mid-August it began to really heat up and we recorded record temperatures in Kent. This late burst of warmth meant the fruit reached a perfect level of level of ripeness. The Rosé is a blend of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes and in early October these were carefully hand picked to ensure only the best fruit makes it into the final wine.

The wine is made by Kevin Sutherland and his methods of minimal intervention coupled with the ripe fruit from our Kent vineyard means the wine is beautifully balanced and full of fruit flavours.

Just 1500 bottles produced. Buy now to enjoy immediately or store until 2024.

Tasting Notes:
Rose gold in colour with aromas of elderflower and pear, the wine is bursting with flavours of strawberries, tangerines and apricots with a refreshing zesty finish. The perfect party aperitif and a great accompaniment to fish or chicken.
