Introducing our Classic Cuvée 2013 16, Mar 2016

Our first release -the award winning 2012 Classic Cuvée -  has proved so popular that it is now sold out. But, just in time, the 2013 Classic is ready for release and is now available to order online.

The wine is from the 2013 vintage which was another excellent year in the vineyard. A long summer allowed the grapes to develop mature fruit flavours without losing their refreshing acidity.

The wine is blended from all 3 of the classic champagne grape varieties (65% Chardonnay, 20% Pinot Noir and 15% Pinot Meunier) and has been partly aged in oak barrels before blending and bottling and a further 18 months of lees aging.  It displays a rich mousse and is lemon gold in colour with aromas of barley, lychee and tropical fruits. On the palate there are flavours of citrus, baked apples and caramel leading to a crisp zesty finish.
